Il TECNARO Ltd., con sede in Ilsfeld a Heilbronn è felice di aver ricevut uno dei più prestigiosi premi internazionali, Inventore europeo Award.
I due amministratori delegati di TECNARO, Jürgen pfitzer e Helmut Nagele, sono stati proposti da esaminatori di brevetti internazionali. Con oltre 1000 inventori e domande di brevetto per l’Inventor europeo Award 2010 viene assegnato ogni anno dalla Commissione europea e dall’Ufficio europeo dei brevetti. 28 Aprile 2010 una giuria di alto livello ha deciso per Tecnaro. Alison Brimelow, Presidente dell’Ufficio europeo dei brevetti a Madrid, ha consegnato il premio per l’invenzione del ARBOFORM materiale ecologico, sostituendo in molte applicazioni industriali, la plastica derivata dal petrolio e risultando anche biodegradabile.
ARBOFORM sostituito materie plastiche a base di olio
TECNARO – il nome della società è costituito dalla prima lettera di Tecnology per materie prime rinnovabili – aveva dodici anni fa quando fu fondata da Helmut Karlsruhe Nagele e Ellwanger Jürgen pfitzer fondato aver sviluppato all’Istituto Fraunhofer il nuovo materiale ARBOFORM. Questo materiale ha proprietà di biopolimero come la plastica, ma sulla base di di lignina, componente biologica di legno, di varie fibre naturali come la canapa e il lino, e additivi naturali. La componente lignina di legno si trova vicino alla cellulosa, la sostanza più comune organica sulla terra. Annualmente circa 20 miliardi di tonnellate di lignina vengono prodotte dalla fotosintesi. La lignina è quindi una fonte pressoché inesauribile di materie prime disponibili e inoltre non è in concorrenza con il cibo. La lignina può essere estratta anche da cortecce, segatura o paglia.
La natura di materiale termoplastico, oltre ai vantaggi tecnici ed economici, ma anche tremenda ha anche un notevolissimo impatto eco-ambientale. Dom ARBOFORM crea indipendenza dal petrolio come materia prima, e può essere facilmente riciclato, compostato o masterizzato facilmente. Anche l’industria automobilistica è incuriosito dal nuovo materiale ecologico: guarda ARBOFORM come il legno, vale come il legno, ma è in grado di essere gestito – ad esempio per i veicoli l’interior design – in una varietà di forme tridimensionali.

TECNARO GmbH located in Ilsfeld near Heilbronn is very happy about winning one of the most prestigious international awards, the European Inventor Award.
The two managing directors of TECNARO GmbH, Jürgen Pfitzer and Helmut Nägele, were proposed by international patent examiners and nominated from among more than 1,000 inventors and patent applicants for the European Inventor Award 2010, awarded annually by the EU Commission and the European Patent Office. On April 28th a high level jury has chosen Tecnaro. The award was handed over in Madrid by Alison Brimelow, President of the European Patent Office for the invention of ARBOFORM, an environmentally friendly material replacing petroleum-based plastics in many industrial applications and offering further significant advantages for example being biodegradable and pleasant to handle as a finished product (wood).
Awarded are inventors and inventions which contribute significantly and sustainable to technical progress and due to this to the increase in European economy. Key factors were innovation, already achieved success in the market and future potential. Prince Felipe und Princess Letizia, heir apparents from Spain patronized the award in 2010 and congratulated the winners.
Nuclear physicist Professor Dr. Wolfgang Krätschmer from Heidelberger, whose research allowed producing stable carbon types which revolutionize probably AIDS research, was awarded for his life time achievement.
Among previous awardees are outstanding personalities such as Adolf Goetz Berger (2009), the “father” of solar technology, Nobel Prize winner in Physics Peter Grünberg (2006), AIDS researcher Eric De Clercq (2008) and Federico Faggin (2006), the inventor of the microprocessor.
Material based on renewable resources replaces petroleum product
The initials of TEChnologie NAchwachsender ROhstoffe (Technology of renewable resources) represent the company’s name “TECNARO”. Twelve years ago the company was established by Helmut Nägele from Karlsruhe and Jürgen Pfitzer from Ellwangen after their development of the brand-new material “ARBOFORM” at the Fraunhofer Institute. This biopolymer material offers the same processing qualities and features as plastic. ARBOFORM, however, is based on lignin, (a major component of wood), various natural fibers such as hemp and flax as well as natural additives. Besides cellulose, the wood component lignin is the second most common organic material on earth, about 20 billion tons of lignin being formed each year by photosynthesis. This ensures an almost infinite supply of lignin as a raw material without competing with food products. Approximately 60 million tons of lignin are produced annually as a by-product within the Cellulose industry, mainly in the production of paper. Lignin may even be extracted from tree bark, sawdust or straw. The mixture of renewable resources is processed further through special procedures to form granules which can be used for various products manufactured by conventional plastic fabrication techniques.
This thermoplastic material offers not only technical and economical advantages but also tremendous ecological benefits. With ARBOFORM, industry gains independence from petroleum as a raw material, it can easily be recycled, and even composted or burnt without releasing additional CO2. This explains the very strong interest within the plastic and wood processing industry in ARBOFORM. Particularly the automotive industry is fascinated by this new environmentally friendly material: ARBOFORM looks like wood, it feels like wood, but can nevertheless be processed easily into a wide variety of three-dimensional shapes, e.g. for car interior design. Companies involved in the packaging business as well as manufacturers of furniture, toys, shoes and music instruments have become established users of the material. TECNARO is convinced that its product will have a significant future impact on many other industries and will conquer additional international markets also due to the new partnership with Albis Plastic GmbH.
The demand for ARBOFORM and TECNAROs’ other products ARBOBLEND and ARBOFILL is growing continuously, primarily because of the product’s environmental friendliness, and secondly because of their competitive prices. This success is also reflected by the increasing number of technical staff. La firma alemana TECNARO desarrolla, fabrica y comercializa su nuevo producto ARBOFORM, un material termoplástico sostenible.

Une dos industrias diferentes. Por un lado permite que mediante el procesado industrial de madera se fabriquen productos con diseños geométricos que antes sólo eran viables económicamente con el uso de plásticos. Por otro lado, habilita a la industria de la inyeccion de plásticos para el uso de madera como materia prima sin cambiar de tecnología.
Otros productos derivado de recursos renovables que se emplean para sustituir al plástico, presentan a veces variaciones importantes de calidad debido a su origen y proceso de fabricación. En cambio, parece que la lignina en la que se basa al ARBOFORM aporta la misma calidad constante que la propia lignina aporta a la fabricación homogénea de papel con pasta de celulosa.
Para la eliminación de los productos realizados con ARBOFORM se produce una degración igual que la de la madera natural, por ejemplo por putrefacción o incineración. Además, según el fabricante, la cantidad de CO2 emitida en el proceso de fabricación no es mayor que la que se fijó anteriormente de forma natural en la madera empleada como materia prima.

Die TECNARO GmbH mit Sitz in Ilsfeld bei Heilbronn freut sich über den Gewinn eines der renommiertesten internationalen Preise, dem europäischen Erfinderpreis.
Die beiden Geschäftsführer der TECNARO, Jürgen Pfitzer und Helmut Nägele, wurden durch internationale Patentprüfer vorgeschlagen und unter weltweit über 1.000 Erfindern und Patentanmeldern für den europäischen Erfinderpreis 2010 nominiert, der jährlich von der EU-Kommission und dem Europäischen Patentamt vergeben wird. Am 28. April 2010 entschied sich eine hochkarätige Jury für Tecnaro. Alison Brimelow, Präsidentin des Europäischen Patentamtes überreichte in Madrid den Preis für die Erfindung des umweltfreundlichen Werkstoffes ARBOFORM, der in vielen industriellen Anwendungen die Kunststoffe auf Erdölbasis ersetzt und darüber hinaus biologisch abbaubar ist.
Ausgezeichnet werden Erfinder und Erfindungen, die einen maßgeblichen und nachhaltigen Beitrag zum technischen Fortschritt und damit zur wirtschaftlichen Steigerung Europas geleistet haben. Ausschlaggebende Kriterien waren Innovationskraft, bereits erreichter Erfolg am Markt und Zukunftspotenzial. Unter den Gratulanten waren auch das spanische Thronfolgerpaar Prinz Felipe und Prinzessin Letizia, die die Schirmherrschaft für den diesjährigen Erfinderpreis übernommen haben.
Der Heidelberger Kernphysiker Professor Dr. Wolfgang Krätschmer, dessen Forschung es ermöglicht hat, stabile Kohlenstoffverbindungen herzustellen, die möglicherweise die Aids-Forschung revolutionieren, wurde für sein Lebenswerk ausgezeichnet.
Zu den früheren Preisträgern zählen Persönlichkeiten wie Adolf Goetzberger, Vater der Solartechnik, AIDS-Forscher Eric De Clerq, Physik-Nobelpreisträger Peter Grünberg und Federico Faggin, der Erfinder des Mikroprozessors.
ARBOFORM ersetzt erdölbasierte Kunststoffe
TECNARO – der Firmenname setzt sich aus den Anfangsbuchstaben von TEChnologie NAchwachsender ROhstoffe zusammen – wurde vor zwölf Jahren von dem Karlsruher Helmut Nägele und dem Ellwanger Jürgen Pfitzer gegründet, nachdem sie am Fraunhofer-Institut den völlig neuartigen Werkstoff ARBOFORM entwickelt hatten. Dieser biopolymere Werkstoff besitzt Verarbeitungseigenschaften wie Kunststoff. ARBOFORM basiert jedoch auf Lignin, dem biologischen Grundbaustein von Holz, verschiedenen Naturfasern wie Hanf und Flachs sowie natürlichen Additiven. Der Holzbestandteil Lignin ist neben der Zellulose der häufigste organische Stoff der Erde. Jährlich werden durch die Photosynthese etwa 20 Milliarden Tonnen Lignin neu gebildet. Lignin ist daher eine nahezu unendlich verfügbare Rohstoffquelle und konkurriert auch nicht mit Lebensmitteln. Allein 60 Millionen Tonnen Lignin fallen jährlich in der Zellstoffindustrie, vor allem bei der Papierherstellung, als Beiprodukt an. Selbst aus Rinde, Sägemehl oder Getreidestroh kann Lignin extrahiert werden. Das Gemisch aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen wird durch spezielle Verfahren in Granulatform gebracht und kann anschließend mit gängigen Kunststoffverarbeitungsmaschinen zu unterschiedlichen Produkten verarbeitet werden.
Mit dem thermoplastischen Naturwerkstoff sind neben den technischen und ökonomischen auch enorme ökologische Vorteile verbunden. So schafft ARBOFORM Unabhängigkeit vom Rohstoff Erdöl, lässt sich einfach recyceln, problemlos kompostieren oder auch kohlendioxidneutral verbrennen. Entsprechend hoch ist das Interesse der kunststoff- und holzverarbeitenden Industrie. Vor allem die Automobilindustrie ist fasziniert vom neuen, umweltfreundlichen Material: ARBOFORM sieht aus wie Holz, fasst sich an wie Holz, lässt sich aber – beispielsweise für die Fahrzeug-Innenraumgestaltung – in verschiedenste, dreidimensionale Formen verarbeiten. Anwender sind u. a. Verpackungsmaterial-Hersteller sowie Produzenten von Möbeln, Spielwaren, Schuhen und Musikinstrumenten. TECNARO ist auch aufgrund der neuen Vertriebspartnerschaft mit der Albis Plastic GmbH überzeugt, dass ihr Naturwerkstoff zukünftig noch weitere Branchen und internationale Märkte erobern wird.
Die Nachfrage nach ARBOFORM und den weiteren TECNARO-Biowerkstoffen ARBOBLEND und ARBOFILL wächst stetig. Ein Grund dafür ist einerseits die Umweltfreundlichkeit und andererseits die wettbewerbsfähigen Preise. Dieser Erfolg drückt sich auch in der Mitarbeiterzahl aus, die im Produktionsbereich in diesem Jahr bereits um 50 Prozent gestiegen ist.

“Al Miglior video – GAIART AND VIDEO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2010 – Save the Earth/La terra trema” sarà consegnata una borsa di studio per partecipare ai corsi dell’ “Accademia F.I.L.M.A.S. – Formazione per l’Interazione dei Linguaggi della Musica, Arte e Spettacolo” ad Aieta nel Palazzo rinascimentale. Altri premi sono previsti e verranno resi noti il prima possibile.
On the 27th of June the GAIART INTERNATIONAL VIDEO FESTIVAL will take place with the video competition. In the evening both exhibitors and directors will participate in the awards ceremony.
“Best Video – GAIART AND VIDEO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2010 – Save the Earth/La terra trema” will be awarded a scholarship to participate in courses at “F.I.L.M.A.S. Academy – Formation for the Interaction of Languages and Music, Art and Spectacle” at Aieta in the Palace of the Renaissance. Other awards are scheduled and will be announced as soon as possible.
Gaia International FestivalGaia International Festival
Un incontro internazionale di cittadini, per affrontare i problemi socio/ecologici che stanno colpendo il nostro Mare e la nostra Terra. Questo evento comprenderà dibattiti, workshop, relatori, musica, arte, cinema e teatro. Tutto si realizzerà dal 19 al 27 giugno 2010, per una settimana, e avrà luogo lungo la costa e per le montagne da Maratea in Basilicata ad Amantea in Calabria. Saranno presenti delegazioni da tutti i Paesi che affacciano sul Mediterraneo, e da tutto il mondo.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello di dar luce ad un diverso tipo di sviluppo incentrato sulla sostenibilità del sistema, rispettando l’armonia che solo l’equilibrio tra la natura e l’essere umano può realizzare; a questo scopo creeremo nei Forums progetti improntati su uno sviluppo sostenibile per il Sud Italia e indirizzati non più verso un turismo subito dalle popolazioni autoctone, bensì un turismo eco-sostenibile nel rispetto della storia di queste zone. Ma non solo turismo; anche progetti che riguardano una economia diversa, rilocalizzata e incentrata sulla filiera corta, quindi evitando passaggi da un mercato insicuro. A tal proposito, si darà più visione ad esperienze come quella di Slow Food o dei gruppi di acquisto solidale (G.A.S.).
Altre tematiche che si affronteranno in forums e dibattiti saranno le fonti di energia rinnovabili, il cambiamento climatico, gli effetti delle guerre sull’ambiente (non solo inteso come natura, ma in particolare facendo riferimento a tutto ciò che lo determina, quindi anche l’individuo), sistemi di raccolta differenziata, come raggiungere la giustizia sociale a partire dalle realtà locali.
Noi vogliamo un forte aiuto nell’organizzazione del Festival, creando un impegno annuale, capace di rilanciare più volte il Gaia International Festival. Stiamo organizzando questo Festival nella speranza di un gran successo, ma non possiamo riuscirci senza il vostro aiuto e la vostra partecipazione. Noi abbiamo bisogno dei vostri inputs, della vostra creatività, tempo, contatti e risorse da impiegare nel progetto.
Un incredibile entusiasmo sta muovendo i nostri cuori, vogliamo dare un forte segnale di cambiamento, partendo da ogni paese, Provincia e Regione. Ma non solo Dalla Calabria o Dalla Basilicata. Questo nuovo afflato ci auguriamo si avverta per tutto il Mediterraneo, oltrepassando le dune del deserto e le onde dell’Atlantico. Tuttavia ci rendiamo conto che il solo entusiasmo non può bastare. Degli ideali con dei sogni non è abbastanza. La frustrazione per lo status quo dominante è alto, ma la rassegnazione e la riluttanza verso la scena politica non sono soluzioni rasserenanti e in grado di condurre ad un miglioramento delle nostre vite.
Noi abbiamo bisogno di Tutti Voi lì fuori. Venite con noi cittadini del mondo. Ascoltiamo, insegniamo e impariamo insieme. La posta in gioco è troppo alta per le nostre negligenze e le nostre scelte riguardo la Terra. Dobbiamo camminare per l’avvenire delle future generazioni e del nostro. Una voce Andalusa diceva: “Viaggiatore, non c’è un sentiero da seguire. Il sentiero si fa camminando.” Ebbene, noi crediamo sia giunto il momento di camminare tutti insieme perché i sentieri finora seguiti possano incontrarsi in una grande piazza (o Festival) e da lì imparare a camminare insieme, iniziando a guardare cosa ci sia intorno a noi.

It will take place from the 19th to the 27th of June 2010. It will be located on the coast and in the mountains stretching from Maratea in the region of Basilicata to Amantea in Calabria.
We are inviting delegations from all the countries that border the Mediterranean Sea as well as delegations from all over the world.
We plan to provide a platform for environmental and social change and a new model of sustainable economics to benefit future generations and protect natural resources. We will engage in the following topics: economic localization, language for a transition to a sustainable world, renewable energy, Slow Food, climate change, waste-reduction/land-conservation, biodiversity, water issues, and social justice.
We want this effort to grow into an enduring and effective organization that can hold such an event on an annual basis. We are committed to making the GAIA Festival a success and a launching point, but we cannot do it without your help and participation. We need your input, creativity, time, contacts, and resources to pull this off.
There is tremendous enthusiasm and yearning for change in the region and beyond, but that alone is not sufficient. A few activists with a dream is not enough. Frustration with the status quo is high, but resignation and reliance on political theatre are not viable options anymore.
We need YOU out there. Come join us, citizens of the world, and let us make this time ours indeed. Come listen, teach, and learn together.
These are the most challenging of times in human history. The stakes are too high for us to neglect our purpose on Earth, our calling for future generations and for ourselves.
